SINGAPORE, 14 April 2026 – Cartrack Singapore has been named the winner of the IoT–IT Services category at the prestigious Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2026. The award was presented at a ceremony held at Marina Bay Sands on 9 April 2026, recognising Cartrack's safety-first fleet ecosystem as a standout innovation in Singapore's technology landscape.
The annual Technology Excellence Awards, held by Singapore Business Review, celebrate organisations in Singapore that push the boundaries of innovation through impactful technology initiatives and deliver measurable operational results.
The winning project – Cartrack's Safety-First Fleet Ecosystem: AI-Driven Intelligence for Safer Roads and Smarter Fleet Operations – redefines fleet management by placing driver and road safety at its core. The platform integrates three breakthrough technologies: AI-powered cameras, driver scorecards coupled with leader boards, and video-backed coaching tools, combining proactive safety monitoring with fleet optimisation to deliver measurable business outcomes.
As Singapore advances its smart city infrastructure, Cartrack identified a critical gap: in-cabin safety risks that extend beyond speed control.
Its AI-powered cameras address this issue by detecting dangerous driving behaviours – including fatigue, mobile phone usage, smoking, seatbelt violations, distraction, lane departure, and collision risks – in real time. Seat vibration and audio alerts intervene before accidents occur, while video evidence is automatically uploaded to the cloud for coaching and managerial review.
Driver scorecards and leader boards transform behavioural data into actionable safety intelligence. A transparent 0–100 scoring system fosters healthy competition and gives drivers immediate visibility into their performance, turning safety into a shared, gamified commitment rather than a top-down mandate.
Complementing this, video-backed coaching tools enable fair, evidence-based training – allowing drivers to review footage of their own incidents and understand the real risks of their behaviour, driving genuine and lasting change.

The ecosystem's impact is backed by compelling real-world results. Eminent Star Readymix, whose construction trucks face heightened risks due to heavy loads and demanding schedules, deployed Cartrack's AI Vision platform and driver scorecards to identify and coach high-risk operators.
In FY2025, the company recorded a huge 65% reduction in phone usage, a 33% reduction in driver fatigue incidents, and a 31% drop in smoking behind the wheel, driven by targeted coaching on drivers’ behaviour.
In another success story, Tan Soon Huah Gas Supply, Singapore's LPG solutions provider, used driver scorecards and video coaching as the foundation for a positive, rewards-based safety programme. By incentivising drivers who scored above a 60-point benchmark, TSH Gas achieved a 100% driver compliance rate within six months, with 82% of drivers outperforming at 80 points and above; demonstrating the power of positive reinforcement in building a genuine safety culture.
“This award reflects our unwavering belief that safety and efficiency are not competing priorities and safety is the foundation that makes efficiency possible. We are proud to be recognised for the tangible difference our technology is making to drivers, businesses, and roads across Singapore. This recognition inspires us to keep pushing the boundaries of what fleet management can achieve,” shared Richard Schubert, Cartrack Chief Operating Officer.
Beyond safety, Cartrack's ecosystem underpins a full suite of fleet optimisation tools – including fuel fraud detection, intelligent route planning, preventive maintenance, and digital vehicle access. By first providing the tools for companies to establish a culture of safety, Cartrack creates the operational stability businesses need to fully realise the efficiency gains these tools offer.
Cartrack's commitment to continuous innovation ensures that clients benefit from evolving safety technologies without platform disruption, reinforcing its position as Southeast Asia's leader in both road and fleet safety management.

Recognition honours Cartrack's AI-powered fleet safety ecosystem – driving measurable road safety outcomes and operational excellence for businesses in Singapore.
